Reports suggest that Arsenal could make another move for Bayer Leverkusen's Lars Bender this summer.
The Gunners went after the 24-year old German midfielder last summer but failed with a £19million bid which could force them to return with a new offer at the end of the current season.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is a big fan of Bender and would love to deploy the hard-nosed defensive midfielder in his line-up from next campaign in order to free up his plethora of attacking mids.
The Daily Mail has suggested that Gunners scouts have been watching Bender for the past 12 months and see him as a long-term replacement for Spaniard Mikel Arteta who turns 32 this week.
