Arsenal want Jack Wilshere to put his feet up for the rest of the season.
The Daily Mail says initial tests indicate Wilshere could be missing until at least April after his latest injury setback in training.
That would leave manager Arsene Wenger with a major dilemma. Having Wilshere back for the final handful of games would be a massive boost.
Arsenal would be reluctant to see Wilshere travel with the rest of the England squad to Poland and Ukraine if he misses the season due to injury.
But Capello remains a fan of the midfielder and he will be one of the first names on his squad list if fit. But there is a feeling within the club that it would benefit the player in the long term if Arsenal wrote off this season to focus on ensuring the troublesome ankle is 100 per cent rehabilitated.
