Arsenal chiefs are changing their policy towards player contracts.
The Gunners have privately vowed Theo Walcott will be the club's final contract saga.
Chief executive Ivan Gazidis and transfer chief Dick Law have ruled players will not be allowed to enter the final two years of their contracts without talks over new deals.
The club are already working on such deals for Bacary Sagna and Kieran Gibbs, whose contracts are due to expire in 2014.
