Gunners boss Mikel Arteta has confirmed this week plans to send Alex Runnarsson away on-loan and replace him with a new backup for No1 Bernd Leno.

Sky Sports says high on Arsenal's agenda is Neto.

The Brazilian is known to Arsenal football chief Edu, who also knows Barca are in need of several player sales this month to help balance their books.

Neto is in his second season at Barca having arrived in a swap for Jasper Cillessen from Valencia.
