Arsenal are chasing German prospect Matthias Ginter.

The Mirror says Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is keen to sign Matthias Ginter, a 19-year-old defensive midfielder, from German top-flight side Freiburg in a deal worth £5m.

Wenger's scouts have been tracking Ginter for months and the Gunners have spoken to Freiburg about doing a deal for the 6ft 1in German, who can also play in defence.
