Everton face competition from Arsenal for unwanted Manchester City midfielder Gareth Barry. City boss Manuel Pellegrini has confirmed he won't stand in Barry's way should he wish to move on.
The Daily Express says Everton boss Roberto Martinez knows they will need City's help to subsidise Barry's £100,000 a week wages if he is to secure a move to Goodison Park.
Arsenal are also interested in the 32-year-old however, with Arsene Wenger weighing up the former Aston Villa star as cover for his midfield.
