Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger admits they took a close look at Dele Alli when he was with MK Dons.

Alli will start for Tottenham in the derby this weekend.

This morning, Wenger revealed: "We looked at him, he played at Milton Keynes, that's down the road, he has done extremely well, he's a complete player, he's dangerous, he's scored 16 or 17 goals, it's marvellous at his age.

"They've done well to buy him and give him a chance, they deserve credit for that. We watched him a few times, many many times, we watched Milton Keynes a lot."
