Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is reluctant to confirm a Bosman deal for Bordeaux striker Marouane Chamakh just yet.

Morocco international Chamakh has already announced he expects to join the Gunners on a free transfer when his contract expires at Bordeaux.

The striker, 26, is yet to sign on the dotted line but Wenger is confident the deal will be rubberstamped in the near future.

He said: "It is not officially done but we are confident on the boy.

"When all is clear we will come out and announce it."
