Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has confirmed interest in Borussia Dortmund attacker Shinji Kagawa.

Wenger has been following Kagawa since last year's World Cup, while Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is also keen.

"He is certainly a very smart and agile player," Wenger said.

"The Asian Cup is an emerging competition, which I saw already in preseason, when we were in China."
