Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has hit back at Manchester United's Sir Alex Ferguson over criticism of his transfer policy.

"I'm not interested in Ferguson's comments and I never read what he says," said Wenger as he prepared for tonight's Champions League clash with Roma.

"Recently we have been accused of having a strong defence and no attack.

"There is a lot of pressure on me. United had a golden generation with Giggs, Scholes, Beckham, the Nevilles, Butt and they won together because they stayed together. This team can have similar success. We have big potential, but they're like everyone and they want to win today."
