Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is staying confident over Robin van Persie's contract situation. Van Persie will lead Arsenal tomorrow at home to Manchester City - who are said to be lining up a big-money swoop for the 29-year-old in the summer.

But Wenger insisted: "Van Persie's not at the end of his contract despite what people might think.

"He has one year to go and I don't think it's the best subject before this weekend's game."
