Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has confirmed Theo Walcott is in England's World Cup squad.

England coach Fabio Capello is set to name a 30-man party this week in preparation for the tournament, before trimming it to a final 23 on 1st June.

Walcott had featured heavily during the early days of Capello's tenure and scored a memorable hat-trick away in Croatia in 2008.

But injury has frustrated him at international level since then, although he seems to have returned to full fitness for the back end of the current campaign.

Wenger said in The Sun: "Capello has made the list and Walcott is on the list."
