Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger admits he's been concerned by the way the boo-boys have been targeting Gervinho.
The Ivorian was impressive in victory over Reading.
"My worry with him is that he played in front of a negative atmosphere here so you always think you insist to play him to give him confidence," said Wenger.
"But you then risk putting him down further if it doesn't work. You are always in that scenario with strikers. It's the same with goalkeepers.
"But I think Gervinho came on at Swansea last week and looked likely, he looked lively against Bayern Munich and scored the goal against Reading so that gives him confidence."
