Arsene Wenger has banned Arsenal skipper Cesc Fabregas from a high-profile charity match organised by Johan Cruyff. Cruyff is in charge of a Catalan XI playing Argentina at Barcelona's Nou Camp stadium on December 22.
But his request to include Gunners midfielder Fabregas was rejected.
Wenger insists: "We don't allow our players to play in friendlies because we have too many games.
"Does Cruyff think I rest players in the Champions League and then let them play in a friendly?"
