Arsenal boss Arteta addresses rift claims for Saliba and Gabriel

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has rejected rumours of a rift between William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes.

The defensive pair engaged in a heated argument during the win at Leicester.

"They are a happy marriage, they love playing with each other," smiled Arteta for today's Everton pre-match presser.

"But they are very demanding with each other - which is good. Everything is fine."

On midfielder Thomas Partey's impending return from injury, Arteta hinted he will not be ready to face Everton, adding: "He hasn't trained much, he's only had a session. He will train today. He was out for a few weeks and he needs to get the rhythm."
