Arsenal and Montpellier reach Giroud agreement

Arsenal and Montpellier have reached an agreement regarding the transfer of Olivier Giroud according to recent reports.

The 25-year old French striker, whose 21 goals helped fire La Paillade to their first Ligue 1 title last season, has been heavily linked with the Gunners in recent weeks and it appears that a deal is set to be finalised.

It is believed that Arsene Wenger's Arsenal and Montpellier owner Louis Nicollin have come to terms over an unquoted release clause in his contract which is likely to be in the £10-£12million region.
