Arsenal aim to not repeat Gnabry error with Patino

Arsenal are likely to insert a buy back clause into any deal that lets Charlie Patino leave the club.

The i>Athletic's David Ornstein states that the Gunners are not happy at how they handled the Serge Gnabry situation.

When Gnabry was moved on under Arsene Wenger, he went on to earn a move to Bayern Munich.

Arsenal want to ensure that if Patino does move on in the summer, they have first refusal if he reaches the very highest level.

The Gunners are also busy raising funds for a big summer of incoming transfers.

The likes of West Ham star Declan Rice and Brighton star Moises Caicedo are their primary targets.
