Arsenal academy coach Steve Bould has hailed their scouting network.
The Club's work at youth level has seen them develop the likes of Jack Wilshere, Kieran Gibbs and Emmanuel Frimpong for the first team in recent years.
"We obviously have a massive scouting network and I must say without those scouts we can't work," Bould told Arsenal Player. "The talent is key.
"Without good players you certainly won't become a good coach, that's a fact. We've got a good scouting network and I think they identify the top talent.
"The one big thing we look for within the Club is whether they can play. By that I mean do they have talent? Do they want the ball? Are they technically gifted?
"Then I guess the second thing is their physical attributes. The game moves on every five years - it gets quicker, stronger, faster and more powerful. That's the way the game is going so we have to identify athletes as well."
