Sydney FC striker Shane Smeltz has signed a new two-year contract with the club, keeping him at the Sky Blues until the end of the 2016//17 season.
The New Zealand international scored eight goals in 21 games for this season's runners-up after signing in May from Perth Glory.
Smeltz follows Senegalese internationals Jacques Faty and Mickael Tavares in re-signing with the Sky Blues.
Sydney coach Graham Arnold said he was 'delighted' to have secured the services of the 33-year old for another two seasons.
"Shane is a top quality striker and a first class goal-scorer and I'm delighted he has agreed to stay with the club," Arnold said.
"We are in the process of building something big here at Sydney FC and with the prospects of Asian Champion League football coming here next season, it's already beginning to feel exciting.
"Shane had a difficult 12 months before he came to us but has progressed well over this year and we believe he is now back to his best."
