Argentine Ezequiel Guillermo Jesus Amaya is set to sign with North Queensland Fury. The 31-year old will become the Fury's fifth international player when he replaces Felipe who walked out on the club prior to the season starting.
Amaya is expected to join the fledgling A-League club from Argentine second division club Club Almagro de Buenos Aires.
Fury coach Ian Ferguson said Amaya will arrive during the week and there are hopes for him to play this weekend in a friendly with the Brisbane Roar.
''We're hoping he will be here sometime this week, hopefully,'' Ferguson told the Townsville Bulletin.
''We'll have to assess him when he comes in, see what his fitness levels are like and we'll take it from there.''
