Argentina coach Diego Maradona has undergone facial surgery after being attacked by one of his dogs, according to reports.

Maradona, who will be taking the likes of Manchester City pair Carlos Tevez and Pablo Zabaleta to the World Cup, was reportedly taken to the Los Arcos clinic in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

Witnesses told broadcaster Cronica that the 49-year-old was bleeding close to his mouth when he arrived at the clinic with his girlfriend.
