Former Newcastle United boss Ossie Ardiles has backed fellow Argies Fabricio Coloccini and Jonas Gutierrez to be big hits on Tyneside.
"The big difference for them both, and what is different to when myself and Ricky Villa signed for Tottenham, is that they have both already played in Europe.
"There is a slight adjustment to be made from playing in Argentina and then Europe.
"But the great thing for the two boys is that they have already had a really good grounding in La Liga with Real Mallorca and Deportivo la Coruna.
"Having watched them in Spain, I think they are both very good players indeed.
"For me La Liga and the Premier League are the two top leagues in the world and quality players can adapt quickly, which we have already witnessed.
"It was brilliant for Ricky and I to sign for Tottenham back then, become favourites with the crowd and then to win something at Wembley.
"I'd be so pleased for Newcastle to go and do the same with Jonas and Fabricio."
