Michail Antonio says he is determined to force himself into Reading's first team next season.
The 22-year old winger spent time on loan with Sheffield Wednesday last season, helping the Owls gain promotion to the Championship, with the club keen on bringing him back permanently.
But Antonio is targeting first team football with the Royals who took out England's tier two title last term to put themselves into the Premier League.
"I feel that I have proven myself in League One now, but I also feel that I can play at a higher level and if someone takes a chance on me and gives me the opportunity I can show people that.
"I've obviously got the stature of being a Premier League player now, which is great, but at the same time I don't feel that I've earned it.
"I was in and out of the side before I went to Sheffield Wednesday, so although I have contributed to Reading's campaign I don't feel that I have done enough to call myself a Premier League player.
"That will be my challenge next season I guess and the chance to test myself against the best is one I will relish.""I'm definitely keen to take the next step at Reading and I do feel that I've developed my game further whilst at Sheffield Wednesday, " he said.
