Anelka happy playing for Megson's Bolton

Nicolas Anelka insists he's happy at Bolton Wanderers - and working with new manager Gary Megson.

"I am happy here," he said. "It is nice for me because there is a good understanding in the dressing room.

"I will never forget what Bolton have done for me because they gave me the chance to come back England and play football here."

And, rather than distance himself from Megson as many thought was likely, Anelka has allied himself to the new boss.

"Since the new manager came in, we have become much more compact," he said.

"We have started to keep clean sheets again, which is important, and maybe we are getting back to the situation where no-one likes to play Bolton."
