Aurelio Andreazzoli is leaving Empoli.

The veteran coach is stepping down, announced Empoli on Wednesday afternoon.

It is widely reported that Paolo Zanetti will be the new Empoli coach for the 2022-23 season, as today he officially terminated his contract with Venezia by mutual consent.

Last season was Andreazzoli's third spell in charge of Empoli.

The 68 year-old guided Empoli to a 14th place finish in Serie A last season.
