AC Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti admits yesterday's defeat to Roma was a disaster.

The Rossoneri now face a virtual playoff for automatic Champions League qualification with Fiorentina after their 3-2 defeat.

"Unfortunately the situation we didn't want has happened, it's the worst case scenario and we have to go and finish off the job in Florence," said Ancelotti.

"We wanted to sort it out today, but it will go down to the wire. It was within our grasp, yet we were superficial and naïve."
