Club America coach Miguel Herrera admits they may block their players from joining up with the Mexican national team.
Herrera is furious after goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa was forced out of their 0-0 draw with Cruz Azul after picking up a knock while on international duty last week.
"That's why I don't like to lend players to the National Team, the Memo thing was due to the National Team," he said.
"I'm very upset because you can't work with the players and you have to pull back. We can't have tired players during the week."
Herrera warned America may prevent their players from being part of Mexico's tour of Europe for a series of friendlies.
He added: "I do not know, we are going to talk about it, these extra football games do not offer anything good for the clubs. I know they have to play for the national team, but they cannot return without the possibility of playing."
