PSG coach Laurent Blanc has hit out at the media over claims of a rift with Edinson Cavani. It's been claimed Blanc's dissatisfaction with Cavani's workrate will eventually see him sold, with the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City all keeping tabs.
But a furious Blanc slammed the reporting after victory over Champions League opponents Ajax.
"I have no problem with Cavani, it is you who have a problem with Cavani. So, you ask me to analyze the problems you come up with for Cavani ... This is the world upside down! This is the world upside down! I'm not kidding. Edinson Cavani, I have always defended because I know the confidence it takes to score goals. He is a scorer of amazing goals.
"You only have to read his stats. And in Paris, he did the same thing that he did with Napoli and Palermo. The only problem is that when he scored a little less, you read the wrong things into this. You start rumours and you ask me afterwards to comment on the controversy that you have launched.

Blanc was asked about pairing Cavani and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
"Edi is someone who will always score many goals in his career. He always has.
"Don't talk about Ibra! The chance to have both at Paris SG is something every coach would want."
