Alvaro Morata scores twice as Atletico Madrid win at Getafe

Alvaro Morata struck twice as Atletico Madrid won 3-0 at Getafe on Monday night.

Morata scored either side of half time, set up by Joao Felix on both occasions, as he marked his return from a loan spell in Italy with Juventus in style.

Antoine Griezmann scored the third goal for Atletico off the bench as Diego Simeone's side laid down a marker at the start of the new season.

The French forward, who started on the bench, completed the scoring with a great finish after over six months without a goal for the Rojiblanco.

The relationship between Morata and Felix was the big positive for Atletico.

Atletico dominated but Getafe were capable of creating danger. Borja Mayoral hit the woodwork just before the break to sound a warning.
