Almeria striker Alvaro Negredo has welcomed interest from Tottenham.

"My agent hasn't told me anything about possible interest from Premier League clubs such as Spurs, but I am aware of some interest and this fills me with pride," Negredo told setantasports.com.

"But to be honest with you I am not the kind of person to lose my nerve, I remain relaxed, do my thing the best I can and take what I have to take.

"The English league is a top one and playing there is an objective to me, I won't hide it. The fact they send scouts to watch me is an honour.

"Fernando Torres? He has become a hero there and emulating him would be a great achievement.

"I am currently in a good shape and scoring 20 goals would be fantastic, yes, it's a good number."
