Almeria midfielder Leo Baptistao has welcomed new coach Gaizka Garitano.

Garitano took charge of Almeria last week and Baptistao says the difference is noticeable compared to former coach Vicente Moreno.

He said, "The change of coach has given us a plus, the discourse that he transmits to us and wants us to do the basics of football properly. It is what we need because we did different things, very good things, but we were not doing the basics like knowing how to win 1-0 or playing without the ball.

"He is insisting a lot on this issue, demanding a lot from everyone, from the kids of 16 or 17 years old, even me or Fernando, who are the oldest. This is very noticeable and he treats us all equally."

He continued: "We not only noticed that we defended very far back, we noticed many other things. We were not very well organized and it was quite noticeable. We did the preseason and started the league and in the last games we were already another team. We already know each other and we know how each one plays. This week we have learned that simple is also football and that is going to help us a lot, not only defensively."
