Juventus coach Max Allegri has been the driving force of Leonardo Bonucci's sacking as captain, it has been revealed.
The defender was stripped of the captaincy and told to find a new club this week.
However, Tuttosport says Juve management are insisting Bonucci was first told of the plans in February.
He was also informed he would be relegated to fifth choice centre-half this new season.
And it's suggested Allegri made the call himself, as he seeks a new leadership group more enthusiastic about him remaining as coach.
