AC Milan boss Massimiliano Allegri insists victory over Parma was no return to form. Antonio Cassano scored his debut Milan goal and set up a Robinho brace, while Clarence Seedorf was also on target as they thrashed Parma 4-0.
When a side like Milan plays two draws in a row, it sparks controversy and immediately people start talking about a 'crisis' to bolster the chasing pack," rapped Allegri.
"We were never in crisis and that was an exaggeration. We played well in the last two games, so all we were missing was the result."
That certainly arrived in today's 4-0 thrashing of Parma at San Siro, where Antonio Cassano finally broke his duck.
"I think that up until we scored the second goal, it was a good performance. Then we slowed down the tempo too much and no longer tried to really hurt our opponents.
"It is a mistake to settle down too quickly and in the past we have paid for this attitude. Thankfully, Robinho's introduction resolved it, but we have to finish off games earlier."
