Former Everton boss Sam Allardyce says Real Madrid attacker Gareth Bale should return to the Premier League.

Bale has been linked with Manchester United and former club Tottenham.

"I think it would benefit him to come back and play regular football again and play in a team at the top end of the Premier League," Allardyce told talkSPORT.

“Personally, I think he's gone a little bit stale at Real Madrid.

“He needs a move to freshen him up and revitalise him and get him back on the pitch where we all know how brilliant he can be.

“We'd all be glad to see him back."
