West Ham United boss Sam Allardyce hopes Winston Reid inks his new deal. Big Sam wrote in the London Evening Standard: "I'm often asked about the situation regarding Winston Reid and a new contract.

"There's not much I can say really. It's an on-going negotiation between David Sullivan and Winston's representatives and if somewhere along the line, we can find some common ground, then I hope he will put pen to paper."
