Ali Al-Habsi has no regrets signing a long-term contract with Bolton Wanderers. The Oman goalkeeper continues to play second-fiddle to Jussi Jaaskelainen, but told the Manchester Evening News: "The thing that persuaded me to stay is that I'm very comfortable here and all the Bolton fans really like me. If you move to another club then you don't know what is going to happen.
"Gary Megson gave me a chance last year, Fred Barber works me really hard and I'm also happy to work alongside Jussi and Adam Bogdan.
"Before I signed, I had a conversation with Fred. If anything happens, I like to speak to him as we are really close and he knows what things are important for me.
"A four-and-a-half year deal is great and I think I'm going to have a good future with the club."
