Hull City defender Alex Bruce has revealed that the Tigers are embracing their underdog tag ahead of the relegation run-in.

Following three consecutive defeats, Hull have dropped to 17th position on the Premier League table.

"Everyone keeps writing us off because we've got a tough run-in but I don't mind being the underdog," Bruce told the Hull Daily Mail.

"I'm happy with that. Let them all keep writing us off and then we'll prove them all wrong. Everyone's entitled to an opinion but you see all these pundits and it's usually the same ones mouthing off.

"Let them keep writing us off because maybe that can take the pressure off us. If people are starting to think Leicester and Burnley will stay up and we've got no chance, so be it, but ending the season with us staying up will taste that little bit sweeter."
