Liverpool legend John Aldridge feels they need to make two key signings in January.

Aldo believes Liverpool can still rescue their campaign.

"With Daniel coming back they need someone who is going to score goals alongside him. If someone has to pave the way then maybe [Fabio] Borini or Mario might have to move on.

"We need another goalscorer and the goalie situation sorted, whether that's Simon Mignolet or another. If Brendan does that we will have a far better second half of the season."
