Liverpool legend John Aldridge says their problems at the back are the responsibility of manager Brendan Rodgers.
Aldridge wrote in the Sunday World: "Of course, the major flaw in their make-up is at the back - especially defending set-pieces.
"This needs to be addressed quickly and has to be Rodgers's first priority if he wants to steady the ship.
"Dejan Lovren's arrival from Southampton has not solved the defensive problems afflicting Liverpool and Basel again exposed their weakness dealing with corners and free-kicks into the box.
"They are all over the place at the back at times and the Liverpool manager and his staff have to take responsibility for putting that right."
