Liverpool legend John Aldridge says fans are yet to fully embrace manager Brendan Rodgers. Aldridge wrote in the Sunday World: "Brendan Rodgers has done a solid job in his opening 18 months as Liverpool manager - but his name is not cheered around Anfield with any enthusiasm just yet.
"Liverpool supporters are famous for coming up with a song about every player and manager that they take to their hearts, but Rodgers has not had the honour of hearing The Kop signing his name with the kind of passion they did for his predecessor Kenny Dalglish.
"Now I know 'King Kenny' is the ultimate icon for many Liverpool fans and the adulation he receives will be different to that afforded to someone like Rodgers, but there is still a feeling that some supporters are waiting to make up their mind on the current Liverpool boss.
"That may be because the signings Rodgers made last summer have yet to prove he is a good judge of a player, with Iago Aspas, Luis Alberto, Victor Moses and Thiago not making much of an impression this season, despite being given the big build-up by Rodgers."
