Aston Villa midfielder Marc Albrighton is confident fellow young gun Barry Bannan will put his recent off-field woes behind him.
The 22-year old was involved in a drink-driving incident in November and was found guilty of a number of charges with both Villa and the Scotland national team dropping him temporarily from their squads.
But Bannan is now back in the fray for both club and country and midfield mate Albrighton is convinced he has the goods to make it back to the top.
"He's had some great support, the lads have been right behind him.
"He knows what he's done, nobody needs to tell him, he's received his punishment and now he just wants to get back to establishing himself as a top-class footballer. And he definitely will do.
"He is so talented on the ball, he's got it on a string and sees pass after pass.
"He's got a special talent which not many players have. He sees things - opportunities - before others and it's not just about seeing it, he can execute it too. He has that ability in him.
"He will be back showing his top form and flying soon this season.""He was eager to take his punishment and then get on with playing football. That's what he lives for," he told the club's official website.
