Former AC Milan midfielder Demetrio Albertini is a big fan of Nigel de Jong.
De Jong was on the scoresheet in Milan's 5-4 win at Parma on Sunday.
Albertini said: "De Jong is a cornerstone of this team. He plays very simple, whilst he needs to play in the middle with technical players alongside him to bring out his best.
"Yesterday he scored a great goal, I am pleased that Milan can count on an experienced player like him."
