PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi says Manchester United winger Angel di Maria would be theirs if not for Financial Fair Play. Al-Khelaifa believes the 27-year-old World Cup finalist would be plying his trade with the French champions if Uefa's FFP had not thwarted the deal.
"Financial Fair Play is not only a problem for PSG, but for all clubs, whether German, Spanish or Italian," he told Le Parisien.
"This is a big problem for Uefa now. Uefa must change the rules. I trust them. Last year, we were handicapped and we were clearly slowed (in the transfer market). Without these sanctions, we can imagine that Di Maria would be at PSG this season."
"We met him because he is a great talent. He's French, even Parisian," he added. "But all the big clubs want him."
