Ajax have opened formal talks with Tottenham for Steven Bergwijn.

De Telegraaf says Ajax are in talks with Spurs about taking the midfielder on-loan in January.

Ajax are willing to listen to offers for David Neres in January and see Bergwijn as a potential replacement.

Under the six games of Antonio Conte's time in charge, the Dutchman has managed just 15 minutes.

Before moving to Tottenham, Bergwijn came through the youth system at Ajax.
