Ajax hero Sjaak Swart says Quincy Promes' goal should have stood in their Champions League defeat to Chelsea.

Promes had Ajax 1-0 ahead before the goal was ruled out by VAR to offside.

"I ordered a window cleaner to clean those VAR glasses and the TV screens for a moment," Swart told De Telegraaf.

"This is just stealing, robbing Ajax of three points."

He added: "I was on one line. You see it so often, you don't only at Ajax, that those linesmen are wrong. But with Quincy Promes' goal, it was the VAR. Unbelievable.

"That man is there to correct mistakes. Not to make capital blunders. Otherwise we would have won one hundred percent."
