Manchester United legend Edwin van der Sar says he's happy in his front office role at Ajax.

The former United goalkeeper admits he could've launched a coaching career at the Premier League giants.

"When I left Manchester United, Sir Alex Ferguson said that the door would always be open to me. That was a nice compliment," Van der Sar told Voetbal International.

"But I have not seen anything that I'd miss being back in the Netherlands. I am working on my second career at the club where it all started for me.

"That's something very beautiful. And that I cherish."
