Ajax coach Frank de Boer has given up on signing Arsenal winger Ryo Miyaichi.

De Boer had hoped to take the Japan international on-loan for the new season.

"In my opinion he is not an option any more," he told Eredivisie Live. "There are several candidates. We'll know more soon."
