Manchester City ace Sergio Aguero admits Diego Maradona - his father-in-law - is following their fortunes this season.

Maradona has developed an affinity for big-spending City since his son-in-law Sergio Aguero signed for them.

"He follows me pretty closely," Aguero told the Daily Mail. "He always wants to know how we are getting on, and we keep in regular contact through text messages.

"I'm sure, when I get home, there will be a text asking all about the Spurs game and saying congratulations."
