Agents close to Athletic Bilbao midfielder Ander Herrera blame Manchester United boss David Moyes for the collapse of his deadline day move. It's been revealed that confusion on United's side over the method of payment of Herrera's €36 million buyout clause forced the Premier League giants to pull the plug on the deal at the eleventh hour.
An agent close to the player's camp blamed Moyes and told El Correo: "Since Alex Ferguson is no longer involved, United have lost their way in negotiations."
Moyes confirmed yesterday he still rates Herrera as a future signing, but not at his buyout clause valuation.
