The agent of Atletico Madrid striker Diego Forlan has admitted surprise over claims of interest from Barcelona president Joan Laporta.

Daniel Bolotnicoff insisted: "Barcelona has never been in touch with us. Laporta has not moved for Forlan.

"I am not surprised Laporta said that he likes Forlan, we've known this for some time. The reality however is that we have not been contacted by anyone and that we are peaceful."
